Predicate today announced its latest round, led by Blockchain Capital, with participation from Paxos, 1kx, and Tribe Capital, bringing total funding to $15 million. Axios has more on the raise.

We first backed Nikhil Raghuveera and Jesse Sawa at the pre-seed in November 2023, and laid out our thinking here when they announced their $7M round in 2024. The bet then was that onchain finance would need a native way to enforce rules before a transaction settles, not after. That bet looks much stronger now.

Every serious issuer, protocol, and fintech moving onchain hits the same problem: they launch globally on day one, but every market has its own rules. Predicate lets teams write those rules as policies and enforce them at the point of transaction. That includes sanctions screening, jurisdictional limits, and eligibility checks, using both onchain and offchain data. The result is built-in compliance for digital assets. Teams don’t have to choose between reaching every market and staying compliant in each one.

The numbers show it’s working. Predicate has screened more than $1 billion in transaction volume, evaluated more than 6 million transactions against user policies, and blocked 100,000 of them.

Congratulations, Nikhil, Jesse, and team.
