The Briefing Memo from The Venture Dept. — June 2026

May 2026: This month's Briefing Memo highlights a second major institutional mandate for Superstate, new product launches across the portfolio, and a regulatory panel co-hosted with Brogan Law.

Superstate is back in the SEC's filing cabinet, with Invesco filing to register a tokenized stablecoin-reserve fund built on FundOS and Superstate named as sub-transfer agent keeping the shareholder registry onchain, a second mandate from a $2T+ asset manager running on its rails. Multiliquid shipped Liquid Treasury, an instant stablecoin sweep that turns idle balances into T-bill yield with instant liquidity, aimed at fintechs, payments companies, and onchain LPs. Squid became the cross-chain layer for Ripple's RLUSD, wiring the stablecoin into over 100 chains through a single swap.

Flyra announced Coinbase Ventures is on its cap table as the team builds stablecoin-powered remittances on a programmable, AI-enabled ledger. Xweave took the stage at Point Zero Forum in Zurich to announce Solana as a settlement layer for real-time, no-pre-funding stablecoin treasury flows across Asia, covering USD, SGD, PHP, IDR, and AED. alfred joined the Borderless.xyz network as a participating financial institution, extending its Latin America rails across 11 countries to every Borderless customer with no new integration. Predicate filed a comment letter with the US Treasury on building AML/CFT and sanctions screening into stablecoins under the GENIUS regime. Omnia founder Davis Hart also released a paper arguing banks should treat stablecoins as a new form of money rather than a novel asset class.

TVD and Brogan Law co-hosted a panel on the state of play in Congress and upcoming legislative moves, featuring Greg Xethalis of Multicoin, Amanda Tuminelli of DeFi Education Fund, and Nick Gersh of Paxos. The firm also hosted Xweave founder Milind Sanghavi in New York for the June Founder Spotlight.
